picture fist shown on ordering was a writable Blu-ray ROM, delivered was a normal portable dvd-player,not even writable. Looked like cheap product from China, for $120! Returned to vendor and repeated reminders until 3 months to get refund. Lost $22 delivery charges both ways.

I purchased this from Amazon for work and it has never worked once for backing up data. When I first burned with
Verbatin BD-R disk, it failed and has error code of 0xeb020b88. Then I used the disk came with, LG BD-RE disk,
to try to burn about 10GB of data. It failed also with
same error code. I used the S/W suite that came with
and Window XP Dell Precision 380.

This unit works like a charm with my late 2008 macbook pro with leopard 10.5.6 installed as well as with my powermac G4 with the same version of leopard. Works fast and even is recognized without the need of any driver by vmware with windows XP installed. If you want to buy this go ahead it is great!!!

From the Mac world, I thought the day would never come, but this Blu-Ray burner works perfectly with my 8-core Mac Pro computer. I have had zero problems burning projects using Adobe Encore CS4. No need for Toast or even Compressor, as Encore now handles it all. The drive is faster than I expected, the quality is excellent and the Mac Pro recognizes it instantly. After over 100 burns, not one has been turned into a "coaster" and I have had no compatibility issues.
I am simply amazed that this really works (after reading so many bad reviews). It seems like the key to success is two things: a fast computer and the right software. Stay away from Encore CS3 -- you need CS4 and the latest update to have it work properly.
